I don't really read many DA journals (simply because there's just so many!), so I don't blame anyone for not reading mine - this is really a cathartic exercise.

I've come to terms with my art making process - I make a lot of different stuff, not all of it linked, and not all of it aesthetically similar... I've been so worried about not having a 'Kate' aesthetic, that I overlooked the glaringly obvious fact that I'm yet to create one. The more work I make, no matter the medium, the more likely I am to develop an aesthetic that is intrinsically my own, regardless of what I'm making. I have my fingers in so many pies, that its no wonder I haven't got my own style. I'll find it... and if I don't, who cares - conceptually my work is sound.

So I've made some new stuff, slowly gathering some momentum for 2009... I'm feeling very inspired, ready to conquer my artistic insecurities and starting making some awesome shit.
